Changsha is the capital of Hunan Province in China, situated on the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and at the downstream of Xiangjiang River. It’s known for its long history, rich cultural heritage, and modern urban landscape. Changsha is one of the birthplaces of Chu culture and home to numerous historical sites such as the Mawangdui Han Tombs and Yuelu Academy.
Aside from being a city steeped in history and culture, Changsha is also a modern economic hub. It serves as a key center for science and education in central China, boasting several prestigious universities. Moreover, Changsha is famous for its cuisine, particularly stinky tofu and the unique snacks found at Huo Gong Temple.

该校坐落于中国历史文化名城湖南省长沙市，是中华人民共和国教育部直属的全国重点大学，是首批 “211工程”、”985工程 “和 “2011计划 “重点建设高校。2017年9月，该大学入选国务院A类 “双一流 “建设高校。
该校2000年4月建成，以其一百多年的办学经验为基础，积极响应中国高等教育改革的号召。中国高等教育改革。坚持自身办学特色，面向国家重大需求，群策群力、开拓创新、追求卓越，综合实力取得长足进步。
The university is situated in Changsha, a famous historical and cultural city in Hunan Province, China. As a top university directly under the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the People’s Republic of China, the university is one of the first universities admitted into Project 211, Project 985, and Plan 2011. In September 2017, the university was enlisted as one of the A-Level “Double First Rate” universities by the State Council.
The university was established in April 2000. Based on its over one hundred years of experience in operation as an education institution, the university actively responds to the reform of China’s higher education. Sticking to its own operating characteristics and orienting at major demands of the country, the university has made great progress in its overall strength through teamwork, innovation, and commitment to excellence.
