Classification of CIS Scholarships
Therefore, CIS scholarships include CIS Type A scholarships and CIS Type B scholarships, which are independently enrolled. In essence, the treatment of Type A and Type B scholarships is identical.
The main difference lies in the admission process:
- Type B allows direct application to the universities in China where you want to apply for a scholarship without necessarily going through the Confucius Institute (suitable for those who do not meet the conditions for a recommendation letter from the institute)
- The list of universities offering Type B scholarships is smaller than Type A
- Type B scholarships do not provide funding for a 4-week program and a semester program but may offer additional basic technical programs
- Results for Type B scholarships are typically released later than Type A.
