Introduction to the Silk Road Scholarship
Similar to the “Belt and Road Initiative,” the Silk Road Scholarship is also provided by the Chinese government to enhance understanding of the importance of the “Silk Road” with countries in the Southeast Asian region. A large number of these scholarships, totaling 10,000, are offered to countries along the route each year.
Eligibility
- Students from Asian and Southeast Asian countries
- High school graduates
- University graduates or final-year university students
- Master’s degree holders or about to graduate

GPA above 6.0 and HSK not required
